Meaning of Graceful [https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/graceful]
Moving in a smooth, relaxed, attractive way
Proverbs 31:25-29 [Contemporary English Version]
She is strong and graceful, as well as cheerful about the future. Her words are sensible, and her advice is thoughtful. She takes good care of her family and is never lazy. Her children praise her, and with great pride her husband says, “There are many good women, but you are the best!”
I like to think of being graceful as being “full of grace”. What kind of impact does it have on a person when they realize they are the benefactor of the grace of God. I mean when it really gets down in your spirit, that revelation could change your life.
Also, I have always thought of grace as something more than the favor of God. I believe grace is empowerment. Grace enables you to do what you would never have the strength, insight, ability or even desire to do on your own. We find grace in those areas where we have to do things that are hard, or we don’t want to do, or even think we are capable of doing. That’s why I believe the Bible says in in 1 Pet 5:5-6,
In the same way, the younger ones should willingly support the leadership of the elders. In every relationship, each of you must wrap around yourself the apron of a humble servant. Because : God resists you when you are proud but multiplies grace and favor when you are humble. If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands.
Also, the power and strength that grace imputes can be found in 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 where Paul says,
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
The power of God is made goes to work when we are at our weakest points. I can’t tell you how many times God has proved this over and over. Just when I thought something was impossible for me to do, I yield myself to His Holy Spirit and I find the power comes through. There is only one response. Extreme gratitude expressed through worship giving him all the glory for doing what I knew I did not have the ability to do in and of myself.
Father God, I thank you for your anointing on my life that makes me graceful even as the proverbial woman of Proverbs 31. Thank you that as I walk humbly before you, you are increasing the grace in my life that allows me to exceed my own expectations. The grace that allows me to powerfully impact the lives of others and the world at large.
