I am Beautiful, I am Divine in the Eyes of my Father
Meaning of Divine
1. Of, from or like God.
2. Excellent, delightful
We are divine, meaning we are of God and we are like Him because He made us in His image. We are made in His image and we are being conformed into His the image of Christ daily. Paul said, in Galatians 4:19,
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ is formed in you,
So we have been made in the image of God and yet there is a forming of Christ within, which still has to take place. Paul said he was praying for that to happen in their lives. Who is praying for that to happen in your life? I am going to go on a little side note here and say that we can’t always depend on people to pray for us. The Bible says, Christ ever liveth to make intercession for us. Thank God. He interceded when he laid is life down on the cross and the intercession is active and always working on our behalf. However, this is such an important concept, I want to encourage you to pray for yourself that Christ be formed in you. Notice Paul says, he was praying again. That means, he prayed them into the kingdom, but once in the kingdom how were they going to live and walk in the demands upon kingdom people and how were they going to reveal Jesus to a lost and dying world. We need Christ to be formed in us. Okay… back to divinity. Although that was talking about true divinity. The divinity within that Christ possesses and we possess because he is in us.
The other connotation of divine, has to do with being excellent and delightful. We are delightful to the Lord. Zephaniah 3:17-19 says,
The Lord your God is in the midst of you, A Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make nomination [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.
Father God, Thank you for creating me in your image and likeness. Not only was I created in your image, but through the Blood of Jesus I am able to come boldly before your throne and obtain mercy in time of God. I thank you that Jesus did not leave us as orphans, but you sent your precious Holy Spirit who cultivates his fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Thank you Lord for your divinity that causes me to talk in not only the fruit but the gifts of the spirit, for the manifestation of the spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Thank you that the Spirit of the Lord is upon me and the anointing that removes every burden and destroys every yoke in my life and in the lives of those around me.
