Beaten and Bruised

They beat me and bruised me until I could take no more. They wounded me deeply and removed their covering from me.

Can you really grow in God without an experience like this? I don't think so. God doesn't make it happen. But he knows it's coming. He knows that invariably a decision you make, a relationship you pursue and even, or especially in church where you think you are safe will proof that there is only safety in God himself.
